Our process

How a Rational new roof installation works

  1. 1

    On-site planning visit

    60–90 min

We meet you (or your GC) on site, review the plans, and confirm the deck, ventilation, and flashing details before we quote.

  2. 2

    Written, itemized proposal

    Within 2–3 business days

Flat-price scope covering underlayment, flashing, ventilation, material, labor, permit, and cleanup. Delivered within 2–3 business days.

  3. 3

    Permit & scheduling

    1–3 weeks

We pull the city permit and coordinate with your GC so we land on the deck the day you need us — no holding up the build.

  4. 4

    Install to manufacturer spec

    2–5 days

Synthetic underlayment, ice-and-water at valleys and penetrations, properly balanced intake/exhaust ventilation, then your shingle, tile, or metal system installed to GAF / Owens Corning spec.

  5. 5

    Final inspection & warranty registration

    Day of finish

City final, magnetic nail sweep, haul-off, and we register your manufacturer system warranty in the homeowner's name.

Every roof is different. Request a free estimate and we'll give you a real, itemized price for your home.

Built for the climate

Specified for Southern California from day one

New construction is the one chance to get the assembly right. We spec your roof for OC sun, salt air, and Santa Ana wind from the underlayment up.

UV-stable underlayment

Synthetic underlayments rated for high-heat exposure — they don't get brittle the way old felt does.

Coastal-grade flashing

Galvanized or stainless within 5 miles of the coast so flashing doesn't rust out years before the shingles.

Balanced ventilation

We size intake and exhaust together so your attic runs cooler and the shingles last their full manufacturer warranty.
